The Calgary Flames are set to open their 2021 training camp. The Flames will do their medicals and testing today at WinSport (No media availability). The first on-ice session will be tomorrow, September 23rd starting with Group 1 at 9:00am followed by Group 2 at 11:00 and Group 3 at 1:30pm at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Flames training camp roster consists of seven goalies, 21 defensemen, and 35 forwards.
Media availability will take place at the conclusion of each session and Head Coach Darryl Sutter will be made available following the final on-ice session of each day.
The Flames will play eight preseason games (four home, four away) during training camp, starting with the Edmonton Oilers on September 26th at 7:00pm at the Scotiabank Saddledome followed by the Vancouver Canucks the next night at 8:00pm MST at Rogers Arena.
General Manager, Brad Treliving will be available to the media today at 11:00am in the Ed Whalen Media Lounge at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
