Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today their 2023-24 regular season schedule. Calgary opens the ‘23-‘24 campaign at the Scotiabank Saddledome in the Scotiabank Home Opener against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday, October 11th.
The Flames will play each divisional opponent four times, with the exception of Anaheim (once in Calgary, twice in Anaheim) and San Jose (twice in Calgary, once in San Jose) who they will face three times each. Calgary will play the Central Division opponents three times and will play all Eastern Conference opponents twice (once home and once away).

The Flames host the Philadelphia Flyers on New Year’s Eve on Sunday, December 31st. The Christmas schedule also includes home games against Vancouver (December 2nd), Minnesota (December 5th), Carolina (December 7th), New Jersey (December 9th), Tampa Bay (December 16th), Florida (December 18th) and Seattle (December 27th).
Calgary has two six-game home stands this season. The first is November 27th through December 9th as the Flames host Vegas, Dallas, Vancouver, Minnesota, Carolina and New Jersey. The second is January 16th through January 27th hosting Arizona, Toronto, Edmonton, St. Louis, Columbus and Chicago.
Calgary’s longest road trip of the season is a five-game trip starting October 14th through October 22nd as they’ll face Pittsburgh, Washington, Buffalo, Columbus and conclude in Detroit.
The Eastern Conference Canadian teams will play at the Scotiabank Saddledome once each with Ottawa on January 9th, Toronto on January 18th and Montreal on March 16th.
The Flames will travel to face the three Canadian teams in the Eastern Conference on a three-game road swing beginning on November 10th in Toronto, in Ottawa November 11th and in Montreal on November 14th.
Calgary will face the Stanley Cup Champion and divisional rival Vegas Golden Knights on four occasions (at home on November 27th and March 14th and on the road December 12th and January 13th).
There will be four installments of the ‘Battle-of-Alberta’ during the 2023-24 season, with the first edition coming on October 29th in the 2023 Tim Hortons Heritage Classic at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. Calgary will head north once more on February 24th and will welcome the Oilers to the Scotiabank Saddledome twice on January 20th and April 6th.
Calgary will face their western Canadian rival, the Winnipeg Jets twice this season in Calgary in the Scotiabank Home Opener on October 11th followed by a meeting on February 19th. Their one and only trip to Winnipeg will come on April 4th. The Flames will meet their other western Canadian rival the Vancouver Canucks four times (at home on November 16th and December 2nd and on the road March 23rd and April 16th).
The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (9), Tuesday (16), Wednesday (4), Thursday (20), Friday (4), Saturday (22) and Sunday (7). Calgary will play in back-to-back scenarios eight times this season with their first coming on the road in Buffalo on October 19th before travelling to Columbus on October 20th.
The 2024 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend will take place in Toronto, Ontario from February 2nd – 3rd.
